Hey good people? How are you?
I fell into bad habits again when it comes to blogging, sorry about that. I meant to put up this post last week, and the week before, and the one before that but life happens and it got too busy…but here I am now. I don’t know when my next post will be, since I don’t have any pre-shot photos but it’ll be soon-ish. As soon as I get a minute to shoot some content that is, so bear with until then.
Today, I want to say thank you, to each and everyone of you my readers. Those who’ve supported my blog from day one, those who’ve supported for a year, for a month, or even for just a day. You guys are the reason I still push myself to shoot content even when I’d rather stay home and sleep, haha. Because what would the point be in blogging if no one reads it, right?
You guys are the reason this blog got nominated for a BAKE Award this year. I hadn’t been blogging for a while but somehow, the blog got nominated and that kind of put the fire back in me to keep at it. So to whoever you are that submitted my blog, massive thank you. We didn’t win, and I wish I’d say I was bummed but I wasn’t. For me, the nomination alone, was enough. The win would have just been the icing on the cake. And who says you need icing to eat cake?
So yes, thank you guys. For coming back to read my blog after my numerous hiatuses. Some have lasted longer than anticipated but the important thing is I always come back. This is my baby and I will always come back to it, ALWAYS.
But if you are interested, they posted a tally of all the votes and we were quite close to winning, lol. See for yourself here: https://www.bakeawards.co.ke/2018/05/22/bake-awards-2018-total-vote-tally/
Onto the outfit, yes? I want to keep it short since that other part is quite long already. I am styling this kimono from my friend Serah two different ways. First as a dress, then as a top. I loved it because it’s not the typical brightly coloured kimono we’re so used to seeing. That and the fact that I can wear it so many different ways. By now, you guys must know that I will only buy an item if I can style more than 2 ways.
Serah doesn’t repeat her prints, so you won’t find any other person with it. Plus she’s quite affordable, seeing as my then jobless self was able to afford this kimono. She’s at K1 every Sunday for the flea market, and she also sells some pretty dope second hand items like the pants am wearing in this photo. You can also reach her on 0719 608 777.
See the photos below and tell me which is your fave, as always…
Thank you so much for reading, and for supporting my blog all these years. I’ve been at this for 5 years, can you believe it?
As always. STAY FEARLESS…
