Hey good people? How are you doing?
So, I don’t have a lot of time to write today, but I was still determined to put up a post before the week ended. Better late than never, right?
I have a day job, in fashion, which revolves around designers from all over the continent and beyond. The short explanation of what I do is that I work for a fashion PR company, that’s Diana Opoti PR, and the company owns a store, Designing Africa Collective, at the Village Market, that stocks different African designers. My days are spent around clothes, jewellery, shoes, bags etc. It sounds fun, and yes, it has its fun days, but it’s a lot more work.
This day was a combination of both fun and work. Fun because who doesn’t like getting dolled up and taking photos? Work because we were shooting for the store, so it was technically work.
I am wearing Adama Paris, a Senegalese designer, and this collection was recently showcase at AFI, which is a fashion showcase in Capetown. The bag is from a Nigerian deisgner called DOT Fashions. I finished off the look with these earrings that am obsessed with from Poetic Trends. Everything am wearing is actually from Designing Africa Collective. How cool is that?
Oh yeah, I also shot with Diana Opoti, who you definitely should know. She’s also my boss, though she will definitely not like me calling her that, lol. She’s also wearing Adama Paris.
