Long long before I started filling in my brows, and applying mascara and eyeshadow and all that shebang, I would apply lipstick…

Happy new month everyone. I hope this month brings with it lots and lots of joy. I also hope you don’t get fooled tomorrow. Now that I think about it, what was the origin behind April Fools’ Day? My cousin Buba once asked this and I told her Google is her friend, the one I have obviously not consulted since I’m asking the same question. For shame…
I’m doing my first ever lipstick review, mostly because it is my favourite makeup item. Long long before I started filling in my brows, and applying mascara and eyeshadow (the latter being very recent. I have had deep set eyes all my life, obviously, and eyeshadow is just one of those things I never really fancied. I felt like it was such an unnecessary thing for me) and all that shebang, I would apply lipstick. I’ve changed a few things over the years, but my love for lipstick still runs deep, like still waters..even for me that was cheesy. But I digress…
Sleek Vixen No 787
This one is called Vixen and it has sheen. They don’t play when they say sheen by the way. I like the pigmentation, very smooth finish. It also stays long enough, needing reapplication maybe twice a day depending on how much eating and drinking you do. I am almost always eating so we all know what that means… I’m a foodie guys, can’t help it 😉
Sleek Russian Roulette No 795
This is probably my fav. It is matte, sticks nicely and has an amazing colour. I also think it works so well for a dark skin tone. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a red lipstick that can stay most of the day.
Sleek Stiletto No 778
The last red for today is Stiletto. It’s also matte, and is not very different from Russian Roulette. Just a few shades lighter.
My advice therefore is to skip the Stiletto and just get Russian Roulette, seriously. The finishing is also not as smooth, I don’t know why. Maybe I’m just biased to Russian Roulette.
The other thing love about these lipsticks are the names. So creative…
PS; Sheen lipstick rubs off faster than matte so reapply it severally for longer stay. The rest of the lipsticks that I’m reviewing will be up on Friday and Monday. Didn’t want to overwhelm you guys.
The lipsticks are available at Nakumatt Prestige for 950. The prices may differ depending on the location
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful week. Talk soon…STAY FEARLESS
This post is in no way affiliated with Sleek Cosmetics Limited. I love their lipsticks so I decided to do a review on them.
