HOW TO STYLE ANKLE BOOTS
By Liz Madowo on May 3, 2016
Happy new month everyone. I hope your long weekend was good, and that you got some rest.
I am doing my now tradition of rounding up a couple of my looks, all styled with one similar item. See my last round-up of lace looks here. For this edition, I went with ankle boots, which just so happens to be my all-time favourite design of shoes. My absolute faves at the moment are the Chelsea boots, which I’m wearing in 4 out of 5 photos in this post. They’re comfortable, they’re black and they go with everything are just some of the reasons why I love them.
Without further ado, here goes…
1. WITH ASSYMETRICAL SKIRT
I went monochromatic for this look. It’s super easy to achieve and works for brunch with the girls, shopping or a chill Sunday afternoon. See the full post here
2. WITH A PAIR OF TIGHTS
This is for all you fuss-free dressers. Throw on a pair of black simple tights, these understated ankle boots and let your statement top do all the talking. This post can be found here.
3. WITH LOTS OF COLOUR
Shoes make or break an outfit for me. So go for colour in your entire outfit then finish off the look with black ankle boots, sort of to ground the look. I see this look working for a concert or a chill night time event, nothing too fancy. Click here to see more photos.
4. WITH A PAIR OF PANTS
Jeans, joggers, tights…they all go with ankle boots. This outfit is easily one of my best looks to date, simply because of how easily it transitions from day to night. I have worn it during the day for a hangout then at night for dinner with the fam. See outfit details here.
5. WITH A PENCIL SKIRT
Didn’t I say ankle boots go with everything? Tees and pencil skirts spell casual and stylish already, but add a pair of ankle boots, you might just get yourself a spot on a best dressed list somewhere. But even if you don’t, you’ll still look kickass. The original post is here.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you have a good month.
