Hello good people?
Today, I’m doing a throwback post. These photos were shot in March last year, so they’re over a year old. At the time, I wasn’t completely feeling them which is why I didn’t blog them. Bloggers will tell you that sometimes we take photos then when we see them, we don’t like them as much as we thought we would. Maybe the outfit didn’t work, or the photography, or the poses… at the end of the day, we are all human and are prone to mistakes. But, here we are now, a year later and loving the photos.
I bought this dress mainly for the colour and the cowl neck. It was obviously too short for me even at the time but I was adamant that I would make it work. Evidenced before you, is me making it work. The rest of the time, I wore it around the house, and then it disappeared from my closet, as clothes are accustomed to doing.
Kids, this is the moral of this story: don’t let your height discourage you from buying clothes that you love, even if you’re only going to lounge with them.

I hear you on the ‘don’t let your height discourage you from buying clothes that you love, even if you’re only going to lounge with them.’ Being tall has been an issue I dealt with growing up and one that I chose to address once I embraced my height and all it’s glory, lol! I talk about this on http://meruti.co.ke/standtall/. I found that once I knew what worked for me/my physique it literally changed how I felt and surprisingly influenced how others felt about me. Quite liberating actually.
If you don’t mid my asking, was height ever an issue for you growing up?

Hey Mercy, late on the reply but here nonetheless 🙂
I don’t remember ever having an issue with my height surprisingly. As a matter of fact, I think I really noticed that I was taller than most people when I was in high school and by then, nothing could touch me, pun intended.
I’ll make sure to check out that post.
