Hey people? How are you? How is Njanuary taking you?
Yesterday was my birthday, and for the first time in forever, I had a really chill one. You know the way on your birthday you wake up with expectations from your loved ones and how they must get you something and your friends dare not forget to wish you a good one? Well, yesterday was different. I woke up early in the morning to go curate one-of-a-find stuff for my shop that I’m launching this week, if all goes well. I then went and hang with my nephews for a few and headed back home. Unlike the other years when I’d be camped on Facebook checking who’s wished me a happy birthday, I only got on twice or thrice and only because I got a notification from Facebook. This is not to say that I don’t appreciate all those wishes. I do, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you to all who took their time to write something on my Facebook or Twitter.
I think I’m grown up enough, to really understand what matters most in life. And that’s what age does, it wisens you up, mostly. With that being said, if you’re my friend and you forgot my birthday, we will have words very soon *cue: evil laughter*
Do you remember this dress, in another colour, from my last post? Check out how I styled the other one here and share your thoughts below on which one you prefer. I went for a simple look this time, colour blocked then added “nude” sandals to complete the look. Nude is in quotes because it’s supposed to be the colour of your skin. These therefore are beige.
Dress- Mr Price, SA
Denim Shirt- Wangari Mathenge
Shoes- Dar Es Salaam, Can’t remember the name of the shop
PS: Look out for my e-shop, it’ll have good stuff, I promise.
Thank you so much for reading. Here’s to another year of better content. Isn’t it weird that you have two new years everyday? The new year new year and the birthday new year?
