Hey guys? I hope you’ve had a great week.

Two posts in one week? Who am I even? No seriously, who is this person who has taken over my body?

Today, I am sharing with you 3 accessories from Kenyan designers that I am currently loving. I bought all of them with my hard earned money, so believe me when I tell you, I LOVE THEM.

1. Leather Wallet

First up is this leather wallet that I absolutely adore. It is made of Kenyan leather, and has the most practical compartments. It fits coins, notes, cards, a phone, which can also be replaced with a passport when travelling. I tried my passport and it fits like a glove, sooo now I just need a place to go, haha. My other fave thing about it, still relating to travel, is that both the notes and coins compartments are big enough for foreign currency. This is an important point because I had this lovely wallet while I was travelling in Europe but it didn’t fit the Euros and it bugged me so much.

It goes for KES 3,000  from Jo Kenia Designs (https://www.instagram.com/jokeniadesigns/). I know that sounds like a lot for a wallet, or does it? I genuinely don’t know, because I thought it was a fair price but my cousins thought it was a bit much. Anyway, if it feels like too much, just think that this wallet is made of pure leather, and you’re going to be using it for a very long time.

I remember I spotted it at a time when I was really broke and couldn’t afford it, so I reserved it and paid for it after a while. I didn’t want to risk missing it since she said she might not find the exact same leather. PS: I am generally not a fan of brown anything, but it just looks amazing in this wallet.

You can find her at K1 Flea Market most Sundays.

2. Half Moon Earrings

These are currently my favourite earrings. I wish I could wear them everyday.

I spotted Shiku, one of the designers, with them during a networking event by Africa Nouveau and I damn near bought them off her ears. That’s the closest I have come to experiencing love at first sight.

These go for KES 700, and are by Kirembo Kirembo (https://www.instagram.com/kirembokirembo/). They have so much more cool earrings, and rings, and bracelets, and neckpieces and they are at K1 Flea Market every Sunday. They also do delivery in town.

Love love these too. I got them a while back, almost 6 months ago, and I am still not bored of them. I consider myself an earring lover, more than any other accessory which means I am always on the lookout for new ones, hence the quick boredom with a pair. Our relationship with these are still strong though, and every time I have an event, I find myself drawn to them.

They were between KES 500-700, it was a while back, I don’t remember. ( Little known fact about me, I rarely remember how much I spent on something. I might have an idea maybe 2 months from the date of purchase but ask me 3 months after and I will be absolutely clueless. The only exception is if I spent a really high amount on it)

These are by Joan, I don’t have her Instagram but her phone number is 0719 436511.

I have only posted clothes designers so far on the blog and I thought it would be nice to bring in some accessories. If I find any new, and affordable pieces that I love, I will be sure to share them with you guys.

Also, yes, I know I have rashes on my face. No, I don’t know what’s causing them. Yes, I take good care-ish of my skin, but still trying to find that product that works without breaking the bank.  If you wish to give me some unsolicited skin advice, be nice about it please, and keep in mind there are far much bigger problems in the world, or even just Kenya, without having to include my non-life threatening rashes in there. If you’re nice enough about it and it works, I’ll actually share it on here.
