Hey guys? I hope you’re well, and that June is coming along well. Mine is ok, it has been better, but it has also been worse.
Did you catch our first collaboration ft. Wangari Mathenge? Click here to read it. This is the second and final post, with myself, Freddie and Nyawira.
For the second outfit, I went for this cape, that is reminiscent of a certain monogrammed Burberry cape. Seriously, google monogrammed Burberry cape and see what I’m talking about. The similarities only hit me when I was styling it, and suddenly, I knew exactly how I wanted to wear it.
I went for everything all black, and let the cape take its rightful place as the center of attention. That’s the thing with African print, you can’t have it competing for attention, it demands to be the center of all attention. Even in my first post where I mixed prints, the belt only complimented the kimono, rather than work against it.
Wangari Mathenge has an array of capes, kimonos and ponchos in various prints. Her prices are also quite affordable, so get yours today. Here is where you can find her.
