SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Hey guys, this is Jane-T, a friend of Liz. So while she’s vacationing away in Addis she thought it wise to have me as one of her guest bloggers. i hope I live up to the expectations because knowing Liz she might actually kill me if I mess up- with words at least. While my dress was having fun on the shoot my hair was singing a different tune because of the wind, good thing is we all finally made it to tell the story. The whole look is an interesting chinese-indian blend, I think. The dress has an indian saree slit going on and the floral prints look more like a kimono. The straplessness makes it chic suitable for a sunny day. I added a black belt to accentuate the waist, the yellow clutch to give it more edge and downplayed it with black wedges so my feet wouldn’t look too busy.

DRESS: Bought from a friend (Sharon)

SHOES: Kim’s shop- Summer link Mombasa

TIGHTS: Kibuye market Kisumu

EARRINGS & BRACELET:¬†Charlo’s- Winmart Kisumu

SLIM BELT: Belt guy outside Lake market Kisumu

CLUTCH BAG: Kibuye market Kisumu

Hi Jane-T,I love your hair,make-up,slim belt and dress but I don’t think the clutch and shoes complement your look.
Let’s start with clutch- See,this outfit is already too colourful.I think it would have been better if you went for a more dull colour. You know, like grey. The yellow makes the whole look seem way too busy.
Um,the shoes…I love that you went for wedged heels. And black. But wouldn’t it be amazing if you ditched the strapped wedges?straps go well with knee-length dresses/skirts.I think! For your look, closed heels/flats would’ve added you more edge.
But that is just my opinion.Have a lovely time and I’m looking forward to your next post :)

Ouch Lowry, I appreciate the criticism and kinda get the clutch part though I’m of the opinion that it works both ways and as such might try it your way the next time I wear the dress . The yellow ain’t too much and is still easy on the eyes. Plus if you are familiar with color blocking you’ll see that its not a fashion don’t. I thought and still think the whole look worked perfectly. This is Jane-T by the way.
